So I've never kept a blog before, but I was thinking about it earlier and I think that a blog would be a perfect way for me to set my goals and keep track of my journey towards reaching them.
The first goal I set:
Current Weight: 192 lbs Current Pant Size : 18/(sometimes) 16
-GOAL- Weight: 180 Pant Size: 16 (all the time)
I want to reach this goal by the end of the summer before I go away to University.
I've been working out now for 4 years, since my embarrassing moment before entering grade 9 when McCarthy's had to special order a pair of uniform pants for me because they didn't have any that would fit me - then I was a size 24 - now over four years and 60 lbs later I am a size 18. I absolutely love the gym and love sports (soccer, volleyball, tennis...) I really want to get into Rowing that looks awesome and Hiking would be an absolute paradise for me.. hmm I think i should start looking into that!
I have to say - I LOVE ROLLER BLADING - i went last night for about an hour down by lake Ontario (sunny side)and again this morning for 45 minutes.. its such a great way to exercise and enjoy the weather and beautiful lake.
I also went to the gym today for 2 hours! Amazing.. I feel great... for all you ladies who don't enjoy exercising... it is probably because your not doing it for yourself.. there is some sort of exercise out there for all of us.. you should be looking forward to exercising.. if you don't like to jog- roller blade or bike .. if you don't like going to the gym cause machines get boring-- take a class...seriously whose with me on this one? Who else loves physical activity?

Hi Kala... So nice to meet you. Emmestyle is one place where you definitely can be who you are. So nice to hear you have found exercise to be one of your friends. I used to be at the gym for 2 hours when I was a scholarship athlete at Syracuse and now have calmed it down to two to three classes a week and two hours a week of light weights and high repetitions. I feel great, curves and all! I am wishing you a good life long journey with a mind, body and spirit connection! Please continue to share what you learn about your steps toward that balance with us! Hey Kala!
We're practically neighbours. I live between T.O. and Ottawa.
Glad you love the gym so much. It's so much better than an aversion. :)
I use to run 2 miles a day when I was in college and did the whole weight lifting thing. I'm more low key these days. Yoga, tai chi, walking, juggling (picking up those balls is strenuous I tell you).
Best wishes,
