It is time for one of my favorite times of the year-World Burn Congress! I have only been able to attend this meeting once in my entire life as a burn survivor and that was 4 years ago when it was help in Raliegh-Durham North Carolina. It is a life changing experience for a burn survivor. Three days of motivational speakers, classes, open mike time and different activities at various attractions around the host city. There are even special "guests" like Robert David Hall (CSI) and Mark Wills (song "Dont Laugh at Me). This year the conference will be in Vancouver, British Columbia! I am so excited. I have never been out of the country and Vancouver was a place I always said I would like to visit and now I am getting the opportunity to be in Vancouver with my favorite group of people-other burn survivors. I want to thank the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation in Atlanta, GA and Dr. Fred Mullins from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, GA for their support and sponsorship. In return I will be providing my Burn Scar Massage Therapy Service to both organizations. There are also others who have helped incurred the costs for this trip because those have added up quickly.
