I know it can be confusing...here we are in the midst of winter and the shows are presenting Fall 09...These designer shows wet our appetites for what is to come into the stores. They are highlights for the magazines and news outlets who will turn it all over to us, eagerly waiting for the Word. The advance notice lets us know what colors are hot, trends are on and what to look out for. I fashion is a subjective creative act and not a game of follow the leader. Ok, I know it's hard not to fall prey to seeing an item over and over and over again, while your juices go, "I gotta have it." But this week, I am going to keep my eye out for innovators, designers who are going to step out of the pack and show us what they're really are made of...all of which you'll get a front row seat.
